The most influential group in any church are the adults.
They are the ones who touch the lives of every person in the community. That is why First Baptist Madison has a strong emphasis on adult ministry. The following areas of ministry help adults in their growth.
Bible Fellowship Groups
This is the center of growth and ministry for adults at First Baptist Madison. Our adults are encouraged to be in small group Bible studies on Sunday and during the week. These Bible studies are designed to help them grow in their Christian life. They are also designed so the individual or families will have a caring group that is responsible to help meet ministry needs. Bible Fellowship Groups are available at 9:15am. Explore your options here.
Throughout the year there are specially designed classes in which adults can grow deeper in their walk with Christ. These classes will generally fall under the following categories: Doctrine; General Bible Knowledge; Spiritual Disciplines, such as prayer; Life Needs, such as parenting, finances, and grief; Men’s Studies; and Women’s Studies.
At times in the life of many adults there will be a need for a support ministry. The Adult Ministry works closely with the Pastoral Ministry to provide support for groups such as, Divorce Recovery, Grief Recovery, and others. For information about these ministries, you can call 601.856.6177.
Adults are informed throughout the year about conferences and special events for Seniors, Couples and Families. These are designed for the interest and needs of the adults involved. You are invited to be a part of these special conferences and activities.
There are many more areas in which adults may participate at First Baptist Madison. Check out the rest of our website and see what other opportunities of ministry and service there are for you.
