Crossroads Ministries

Crossroads Ministries is a place of refuge and restoration for women in need of help and guidance as they are getting their lives back together. Every case is unique, and each woman is in a time of transition and healing.

WMU at First Baptist Madison offers mission-focused organizations for all ages, emphasizing education, giving, prayer, ministry, and witnessing. Our mission is to live biblically, sacrifice our time and resources, and serve locally and globally. Our objectives are to pray for missions, engage in mission activities, learn about missions, support missions, grow spiritually in a missions lifestyle, and actively participate in church and denominational work.

Some of these mission opportunities include: visits to nursing homes and ICU waiting rooms, Bingo at The Bond House, Dinner with the ladies at Crossroads, and other service opportunities at MadCAAP and Our Daily Bread.

The Hall Group meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the FBCM Community Room. Monthly projects have included the Home Place, Ronald McDonald House, MadCAAP, The Mustard Seed, Cross Roads Ministry, and Baptist Hospital waiting rooms.

Tidwell Group

This group is named for Patti Rone Tidwell who grew up in FBCM and meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 10:00am in the Community Room. We pray for the needs of the Tidwell Family through the month. Mission Mosaic is our resource at the meetings. Members participate in local mission projects.

Church Plants

Highland Colony Baptist Church

Highland Colony Baptist Church was planted by a small group of FBC Madison members in 1994. This group was called in December of 1993 and began meeting in January of 1994 in St. Andrews School. At the end of 1994, plans for a permanent location were put in place, and one year later, the church met in their new building. Throughout the years, Highland Colony Baptist Church has grown, and they continue in their effort to fulfill the Great Commission by growing in faith and making disciples.>

Redemption Church

In 2017, God worked in the hearts of leaders at FBC Madison and set them in the direction of planting another church. This church plant would reach into areas of population growth in Madison County that were not being engaged by FBC Madison. By God's sovereignty, Steve and Kristen Gee were called by God to move themselves and their three children from Vancouver to lead this church plant. Redemption Church began meeting in January of 2020, and the church grows as they receive Biblical teaching and seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ.>
