Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, Lake Speed is a NASCAR Winston Cup veteran with 74 top ten finishes, and over 4 million dollars in winnings over his 402 Winston Cup Starts. His driving career started in 1980 and ended in 1998. A founder, board member and past board chairman in the Christian fellowship (Motor Racing Outreach or MRO) inside the garage area, Lake and wife Rice have four children and five grand children and they reside in Kannapolis, N. C. just outside Charlotte.
