Drive-Thru Food Drive

First Baptist Church Madison is going to have a “Drive-Thru Food Drive” this Thursday, Apr. 30 and Friday, May 1. We have partnered with The Glory House in Laurel, MS to serve people who have been affected by the storms in Jones County. The Glory House also has a food pantry called Bread of Life. This pantry is in need of non-perishable food items.
For our Drive-Thru Food Drive, you will only need to drive by the FLC breezeway and our FBC volunteers will unload your donations. You don’t even have to get out of your car! We will be accepting donations each day.

Drop off at FBC FLC:
Thursday, April 30: 10 am – 12 pm and 4 – 6 pm
Friday, May 1: 10 am – 12 pm and 4 – 6 pm

Items to Donate:
Canned Foods Jelly Dry Beans
Bread Meaty Soups Canned Fruit
Boxed Instant Meals Hamburger Helper Spaghetti O’s
Pasta Sauce Ramen Mac & Cheese
Pasta Sauce Pancake Mix Granola Bars
Rice Syrup Canned Meats
Peanut Butter Oatmeal/Grits Non-perishable Food Items
Soup Fruit Juice  
A mission team will deliver the donations to The Glory House Bread of Life this Saturday, May 2. Thank you for your willingness to help our neighbors in need. 

Glory House Mission Team

Dear Church Family,
We have more opportunities to continue to serve Jones County and several neighboring communities. We would like to let you know about another opportunity that you can help volunteer. FBC Madison will send out another team on Saturday, May 2, 2020, to help with recovery needs and help stock their Bread of Life pantry. 
Mission Opportunities Include:
• Debris cleanup
• Help restock pantry shelves
• Assembling food bags for distribution
Please Remember to Bring:
• Work Gloves
• Face Mask
Important Information:
• Be at the FLC parking lot at 6:00 am.
• We will return round 9:00 pm. 
• We will take a church vans for transportation, but if you would like to follow in your own car, you are welcome to do so.  
Due to the COVID-19 safety protocol, our team size is limited, and we MUST know ahead of time that you are going so we can be compliant with this safety protocol. We are asking if you have any underlying medical conditions (heart problems, lung or breathing issues, diabetes, etc.), that you refrain from taking part in this mission. We want to protect you and those that we will be serving during this difficult time.
